IE4RC means Internet Explorer toolbar for RemoteCalendars. It's a COM-.NET plugin for Internet Explorer, which it'll make it possible to subscribe an iCalendar (RFC 2445) in Outlook if RemoteCalendars is installed. It'll add also support for webcal.
In this major release, it has been added support for the webcal protocol: finally, as happens unders the Mac, this protocol gets registered into Windows. This means that while browsing the web with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera or anything else, you can click on a webcal URL...and RemoteCalendars will subscribe your iCalendar :)... read more

I'm proud to say that the first version of IE4RC is finally available! Installing this extension for Internet Explorer will give you something quite similar to the usability of iCal under Macintosh.
How does it work? Just remember to close any instance of IE you've got running, install and you're done. This version requires RemoteCalendars 4.81 VSTO ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/remotecalendars ).
Changing from Tcp to Ipc and using a polling system instead of a temporary files fixed this bug:

By this way, all of the logic seems to work correctly, and the plugin may be developed :)

A TestProgram is available online. This program, used with RemoteCalendars VSTO 4.8, can subscribe an iCalendar from outside of Outlook. These are the first steps in the business logic of IE4RC!
