Hi. IDTE - ID3 Tag Editor 2.8 Portable is an excellent program because it has a well-designed user interface, lots of features, and is quick and easy to use, however when going to "organize", "tag files from filename" and using the "%Artist%-%Title%" scheme to batch tag the metadata for files in the "Artist - Title" format, it puts a space in front of many of the track "title" fields, but not all of them, which you can see in the "tag panel" area, and then those tags have to be edited for each one if you want to fix that, which is very cumbersome to do for lots of files. Why does IDTE - ID3 Tag Editor 2.8 Portable do that, and is there a way to fix that so that it tags all the files properly? I've also tried using the "%Artist% - %Title" scheme, but that doesn't seem to make any difference. I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any suggestions about how to fix that, becausee IDTE - ID3 Tag Editor 2.8 Portable is a great program, and I'd like to be able to continue to use it to batch tag my files, but I'd like it to tag them properly. Thanks.
I've upgraded to IDTE - ID3 Tag Editor 2.9.1 Portable, and now when tagging files with "%Artist%-%Title%" or "%Artist% - %Title%" for files in the "Artist - Title" format, all of the track "title" fields now have a space in front of them. When you view the file's metadata in IDTE - ID3 Tag Editor 2.9.1 Portable's "tag panel" area, or in VLC's playlist or "information", "general", "title" areas, it has a space in front of the title name, but when you view it in windows 7's "properties", "details", "title" field, it doesn't. Why does IDTE - ID3 Tag Editor 2.9.1 tag files that way, and is there a way to fix that? If the filename is in the "Artist - Title" format, what tag scheme should I use to tag them properly, "%Artist%-%Title%", "%Artist% - %Title%", or would something else other than that be better? Also, in "tools", "configure idte", "other settings", "scheme and nfo layout", "enable default scheme" is checked, and "%Artist%-%Track%" is in the text field, but when going to "organize", "tag files from filename", the text field in the "enter scheme" window is blank, so how do you get it to use the default scheme? Thanks.
