    That's not the Grove icon.  That's the one that resides in 
/site-images/album_icon.png.  This happens when IDS doesn't have any 
image to display, which concurs with your assessment of it not picking 
up an image for the thumbnail.

    Note that IDS does not create an album_ICON.txt file anywhere.  the 
_icon file is a PNG image.  The file you want is album_IMAGE.txt.  So, 
when you try the above line (as _image, not _icon,) and delete the .png 
files, does it recreate the icons after re-running preview-maker.pl?

    What's the contents of the _image.txt file if you let IDS attempt to 
create it automatically?

    Also, an EOL is different than a CR/LF - one just indicated the end 
of line, which is fine.  The other adds a carrier return and line feed, 
and that's not fine for IDS.
