OK, silly me. I turned off stats collection and the file has stopped growing. Didn't notice the configurable variable before. Anyway...shouldn't it have a throttle? Thanks, -krp _____________________________ Any idea why my album-data/statsfile is growing so large? The performance of IDS had been getting worse and worse, by today it was taking about 2 minutes to display an album. I tracked it down to the 20mb statsfile. Moved it to statsfile.old and IDS created a new one and performance is snappy again... but that too is slowly growing. It looks to contain tons of duplicate entries rage% pwd /home/apache/cgi-bin/ids/album-data rage% ls -la | grep stat -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nobody 2056 Sep 11 08:58 statsfile -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nobody 20643844 Sep 11 07:22 statsfile.old I should note that I had switched to using mod_perl for a bit, but have switched back while trying to find the performance problem.
