No it doesn't. 300 DPI is standard for photo graphic material (regular minilab prints, dye sublimation prints, and most even light jet prints.) As far as we know, we're the only lab (as of last month's convention in Miami) that does Lightjet Prints at 400DPI. Everyone else does both minilab, and lightjets at 300DPI. Inkjets, now those are a different breed all together, however, again, our large format (52" wide) printers all do either 300, 360 or 720 DPI. Our old Xerox did 72 DPI. All of those car/bus wraps that you see, those are done at 72 or 96 DPI. > Are there other service bureau concerns that we should be considering? Now you're going into custom setups, and I'd stay away from that. I'd do the most common, general stuff, and leave the rest to which ever lab wishes to use IDS. Considering there is no standard 'input' program to accept stuff from the web (for example from IDS), we (as a company) have considered creating something that we can then standardize by means of distribution to other labs. This will help IDS in supporting more and more labs. But, that's a long shot. And my boss is hot on it, unfortunately.
