Javascript can be useful, but it makes the page load slower. Javascript pop-up menus under Solaris are glacial. I wouldn't require it. As for using zip.... that seems like stuff IDS shouldn't have to worry about. Write a CGI script for your webserver or use one of the following: Unix -> Unix.... rsync -avHS --update is your friend Windows -> Unix.... FTPSync from www.fileware.com I just have a directory of same name as my album and then sync it using either of the above. Works great. While I'm plugging the dude's tools: Windows -> Windows...
