[Ids-devel] IDS specifying alternate directories

Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way (aside from changing everything in the perl code) to change where the image directories and galleries are (ie: image-cache).

My configuration of Apache won't display any non-cgi content...so i need to move these directories

Ok all, I think I found another bug.


I tend to upload alot of large pictures into my album so I try to run 
preview maker so the site is not slow to load the first time.  I have 
noticed tho that even if I run previewmaker the site is still very slow the 
first time that it looks at a page.  This seems to be caused by the lack of 
an associated .info file to the cached image that previewmaker creates.  
When I run previewmaker it creates all the thumbnails with no problem.  But 
when I then go to the album the first time it recreates all the thumbnails 
on that page (can tell based on time/date stamp on file) and then puts a 
.info for that file in place as well.  This then does not have to be redone 
again.  I think the problem probably lies in previewmaker not making the 
.info files.  Let me know if there are any ideas.

I was just recently granted write access to CVS and I will be committing
my earlier patch for album deletion soon. Shortly after that I'll be
checking out this bug....

Hehe, got one more for you...

I am sure this is the same basic problem as exists with posting comments 
but I foolishly made the error of renaming an album to "(Color) - Roll #1". 
 This did infact rename the album, but there were a few odd side effects.

	1. The album now showed the full path name of each picture instead of just 
the filename.
	2. It was now impossible to rename the album to anything else, tho IDS 
would think it did.
	

It seems to be tied to the use of the () in the name. once I manually 
renamed all the folders and got rid of the ()'s the problem went away.  All 
observations here were made from the admin screen.  Not a big deal, but 
thought you might want to put it on your list.
