Hello all. I've come across something in ids that's kinda bugging me. If you have one directory that contains just other directories (which in turn have pictures), there is no album icon displayed at the top level. The sub-albums all have icons as expected. So: /Bigalbum/ <--- no icon |-subalbum1 \ |-subalbum2 |-- all have icons .. | \-subalbum[n] / Is there a way I can specify an icon for this top-level album? I've tried to edit the album-data/mytopdir/album_image.txt and specifying a path there, no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated. -Brian -- Brian Youngstrom br...@sp... I have multiple albums that contains only subalbums and I have an icon for the 'Bigalbum' not sure what could be the problem in your case ... what version of IDS ? Did you try to go to admin mode and click on random icon to see if it picks one from the subdirectories ? > Hello all. > > I've come across something in ids that's kinda bugging me. No, all directories involved are real directories. The albums directory is a symlink to a smb share with all of the pictures. Each directory under there is real. All local ids information (album-data, etc) live on ext3 local to the webserver. -Brian On Wed, Jul 30, 2003 at 07:41:25PM -0400, Jeff Macdonald wrote: > Are these subdirs actually symlinks? > > On Wed, 2003-07-30 at 18:22, Brian Youngstrom wrote: > > > what version of IDS ? > > > > 0.82 > > > > > Did you try to go to admin mode and click on random icon to see if it > > > picks one from the subdirectories ? > > > > I did. > -- > Jeff Macdonald <jef...@vi...> > My birding blog: http://www.virtualbuilder.com/archives/cat_birding.html > Into birding? I also have albums within albums with no problems. Pictures from the sub-albums filter up to the master album and can be selected randomly or by choice. All albums are local, with no symlinks. I just started noticing this same problem on my installation. All my albums are symlinks. As an expierement I just created a non-symlink album and now I see the album icon for the top level container. Strange since this used to work - until I upgraded from Redhat 7 to 9 (which upgraded from Apache 1.3 to 2.x and updated MANY other things too).
