If you have a large database (mine has 47,591 tracks, 4901 Artists, 3390 Albums) scrolling thought the artist or album list can be a pain trying to find what you are looking for. This patch adds an extra level to the treelist, so instead of just a list of artist/album names, it now starts off with a list of just the first letter of each. You can then just expand 'A' to see all A artists/albums.
It also had a side affect that I didn't expect: The time that IDJC spent doing Populate (right after it finished reading from the database) was 1m 30s before this patch. After the patch the Populate time has dropped to 16 seconds!
This patch will not work currently with a Prokyon database, only Ampache database. If you are still using a Prokyon database, I'd recommend you switch to Ampache! Prokyon is dead, Ampache is still being developed.
I do have a script (would still need more work, but I could do it if anyone was insterested) to convert a Prokyon DB to Ampache.
This patch is based on the latest 0.8.13 version of IDJC.
