Am I the only person in the world who can't get IDJC installed on Linux Mint 18.1? I've tried every method on http://idjc.sourceforge.net/install_build.html and I still can't get it to install. Is there another version of Linux that IDJC easily installs on? We want to use this for our radio station VietnamVetRadio.com
Thanks

I've been using IDJC on Mint 18.1 for some time, no problems. It's been a while since I installed it, but if I remember correctly, some of the dependencies are different with Mint. If you explained what problems you are having, I may be able to help you.

Hi Brian,
As I recall I just followed the instructions on installing the dependencies and all on the IDJC site, but could not get IDJC to run, just the first dialog box appeared and then nothing else. Do you remember the steps you took to install and the difference in dependencies you mentioned.
Thanks

try install kxstudio by adding their repositories http://kxstudio.linuxaudio.org/Repositories follow these instructions and
jack will work very nice by starting cadence (this is an easy configure
tool for jack)

I don't remember, it's been long ago. But if you were able to compile and install IDJC, then the dependencies should be OK.
You are running JACKD before starting IDJC, right?
JACKD? That may well have been my problem. I do recall having some confusion about Jack. I'll try to go back and figure out JACKD. Thanks

My recommendation would be to use qjackctl. Less to install than kxstudio, and it's in the Mint repos.
