Hi, so I use IDJC daily but am doing a new show for someone externally which reruires me to use Icecast and AAC+ V2 (I have tried the standard AAC setting but it will not connect to the external server)

I see that in my options there is an AAC+ V2 button but it is greyed out - how do I enable that please?

AAC+ requires a fairly recent FFmpeg be installed and that IDJC be built against this. Libav may not be sufficient as the AAC+ codec was developed by FFmpeg after the Libav fork.

IDJC build instructions are at http://idjc.sf.net and you will need the latest libshout-idjc installed first.

The main problem as I see it is binary distributions refusing to provide FFmpeg with proprietary codec support so even if you build against the latest binary it probably won't work. An FFmpeg build from source with all features enabled would be the first step.

Sorry, one further question, I could see an option in encoding/streaming to select AAC (and AAC+ was listed but greyed out), but it wouldn’t connect to the remote streamer. Is this all the same issue?

Thanks Stephen, it’s probably not do-able then. I hate having to go back to windows but I’m just stuck now. I can’t see a solution to bridge the gap.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
