Hello all,

I just subscribed to this list today.  I've recently been talking with Tim
about the idea of implementing a C++ / QT configuration tool for iDesk.
I'd like to use the native iDesk configuration file API, but apparently
the format of the configs is in flux right now (or at least some posts
seem to indicate that people are thinking about how to change it).

I have seen references to the freedesktop.org icon spec.  Are there any
thoughts on the subject?  As was mentioned in a previous post (perhaps
it was to idesk-users), a partial implementation of the spec is one
option.

Before I do any more work on the gui (I have just a Designer project file
and simple gui at this point), I'd like to get some closure on the issue
of iDesk-friendly (and sustainable) config parsing.

Any ideas?
