At this phase of the project, this is the real meat and potatoes of the project. While I have a great many ideas of my own on how this project could take shape. I believe that other people should help shape the project if it is to be universally successful.
That said. These are the thoughts of the project as it is now.
The project would consist of the following modules:
A Blogging Module which provides an interface similar to a blog which allows people to share information about a particular issue. Alternatively the module might include a forum.
A Hypothesis Module which allows people to create a structured hypothesis, and tools which help to collect related blogs to form an anecedotal body of evidence to support the hypothesis. This module should also have a hypothesis ranking mechanism which helps to rank the hypotheses in order of plausibility.
A Research Module which enables researchers to explore ranked hypotheses, create a study, (possibly solicit volunteer test subjects), and publish results. More thoughts in this area are welcomed because I lack training in experimental design.
A Knowledge Module that enables the synthesis of research into recommendations. This module would contain a ranking mechanism to rank and group recommendations in an easy to use manner. The users of this module would be primarily voters and policy makers.
