Message: I like how the home page is simple, but it
could use some more
information. For example, it would be helpful to state
what DEIS
stands for and what the purpose of the website is.
The page refreshed every time the user chooses an
option from the pull
down menus. This is somewhat annoying.
I could not navigate to any of the help pages. At the
bottom of the
browser, there was an "Error on Page" statement.
I was not able to open up any of the maps (I tried
displaying the PUMA
1990 Data Source and the CPS March 2000 data). This
could be because I
don't have the Adobe SVG plug-in downloaded.
However, nothing appeared
to tell me to download it.
I was able to open a table for the CPS March 2000
data. However, I did
not know what A_HGA means and could not figure it
out. I looked at the
query description, but it did not give me any more
information that
what was displayed with the table.
I did navigate to the "About DEIS" page. This was useful
information.
It would be helpful to have a link back to the home page
within "About
DEIS".
All in all, I think that this website needs to be more user-
friendly
and provide more explanation as to what is being
mapped or put into a
table.
