Hi Emil, On Windows and Linux, you can use the LayoutEngine sample at=20 <icu>/source/samples/layout There is also the letest program (<icu>/source/test/letest) but that=20 really only works as a regression test - it compares current=20 LayoutEngine output against a trusted, canned set of output. If you'd like to contribute your Syriac code to ICU once you've got it=20 working, contact me off-list, and we can work out the details.
