I get the same thing with an AVI file. When iConvert runs, in the command prompt window it says "Compiler did not allign stack variables. Libavcodec has been miscompiled and may be very slow or crash. This is not a bug in libavcodec." I don't know if this is related to the 0 bite files or not.

Try bringing your video into Windows Movie Maker .....and export back out to a wmv....then try running ICovert on it............it seems that there is something else that FFMpeg needs in the AVI/or WMV that doesn't exist in your file.

I'm having the same problem here with multiple .wmv videos, etc. It seems related to the metadata option. When I uncheck that option, the tool runs successfully. With it checked, I get a 0kb file and no thumbnail image. Any ideas?
