This preliminary release is for users who want to help debug the following new features:

first anniversary stable release of the iconbar desktop utility

wonderful new features added by vegac include:
- smooth scaling of icon images
- transparent backgrounds

also embraces the X event driven model, dumping the timer based on of the beta release.

The beta tested version made extensive use of a cyclic timer to check for new windows, remove icon windows from the desktop after minimization, delete icons and keep the iconbar at the top of the stacking order. The lastest CVS entry has a customized Xevent loop that monitors (in true X fashion) the changes in the substructure of the root window. The result is greatly improved stability and an elimination of the iconbar always-on-top behavior fighting with full-window applications.
