hello,

i just wanted you to add the reasons why a test failed because other people
reding the test
result will ask that question too. so adding the reason why a test failed
would make the whole
thing more transparent for others.

you could, for example, add a topic KadaGuiTestDetails where you are
describing whether you
did an AWT/Swing test and why the did not succeed.

some thoughts about the J2SE stuff ...

we should add a comment that those VMs might run every _additional_ J2SE API
(ex: J2SE, JAAS etc.)
but that there are still some missing J2SE core classes. for example, i
could bet that dynamic proxies
are missing which where introduced in J2SE v1.3.

  ok I got the jdk stuff from each provider's various FAQ on their products
but according to insignia it is supposedly j2se compatible and can run all
the classes in j2se but I'll redo the report and add that in there
  I got a version of KadaVM from a friend who gave me a copy that is
officially registered with his company. I asked and he agreed so I just
took.
  I'll redo the reports and add in why a test failed,usually if they would
not run the code I'd call that failed.But I'll redo the report based on your
input and I'll get it to you by Sunday and if you think it's good I'll go
ahead and complete a wikki for it.I didn't want to do a wikki in case I did
something wrong and did not fully test some right.Don't worry about adding
me on this list, I kinda figure I should be subscribe to it anyway.

    first of all - thanx for the great results i did not exepect that u
would test all the MIDP VMs too.

    though i have a few questions ...

    you are stating that for example Jeode is jdk1.2 compatible. does that
mean it is J2SE compatible
    and could run all the various J2SE APIs? or does that mean they are
compatible to the PersonalJava
    v1.2 specification?

    if a test fails, could you describe why they failed?

    some thoughts about the GUI tests - can you differntiate whether you did
test AWT and/or Swing.
    additionally if a GUI test failed could you describe why it failed.

    another question based on curiousity - your report includes the Kada VM.
i always thought there
    is no evaluation version to test the Kada product. can you point me to
the URL where you did get
    the Kada VM?
