I have your patch on your disc. But I think that I'll modify it a bit
before I'll include it: Your loadCursor function is plain old C and does
not take advantage of the built-in Image handling routines...

Well, it does not mean much bloat. X11 does most of the work...
But I your really want to bring a "new" eye candy to the Unix desktops you
could think about an efficent implementation of a shadowed mouse cursors.
OS/2 already had this feature (the shadow was drawn on the root window
only) and W2k comes with this cool softly shaded cursor...
