Icepodder does not seperate the relationship was open the external player. Even once track is stopped and icepodder is closed it is still running in the background. Only thing I can do is to kill python thus closing amarok and icepodder relationship

    I'm not sure what version you are running, but the current SVN version correctly spawns a new process when calling the external player.

    This can be seen by issuing "ps axjf" from a terminal. It will show that the process for your external process is not a child of the python process that is running IcePodder. The reason you are seeing output from Amarok in the console from IcePodder is that it is the only console that Amorak knows about and is done this way for debugging reasons.

    I'm not sure what you mean by "Even once track is stopped and icepodder is closed it is still running in
    the background." - do you meant that Amarok is still running or that Amorak is still sending messages to the console? Can you elaborate on this?

    If you still think this is a bug can you start IcePodder and then open Amarok and then from a different terminal run "ps axjf" and paste the results here. Then close IcePodder and run "ps axjf" again and copy here.

    Once I click on the link for the podcast. It opens Amarok. Once I have finished listening to the podcast and close Amarok the relationship between icepodder, python and amarok are still active process. I have attached the results below

    With icepodder now closed and amarok running with podcast stopped I get this message when trying to run icepodder again, "Another copy of IcePodder is running. Please raise it, wait for it to complete, or kill it."
