I would like to perform functional connectivity analysis within DMN of resting state datas from 2 groups. After preprocessing and band-pass filtering. I'm going to perform ICA and select the components having higest correlation within DMN (template from gift), and compared them between groups using two sample t-test in SPM with FDR.
Please let me know if my understanding is correct, or should i use MANCONVIAN to perform FC and comparison between groups.
I'll be grateful for any help.

You could identify the DMN component and compare across groups using two
sample t-test (SPM stats) or use mancovan and select features.
Thanks,
Srinivas

In conclusion:
to perform FC within DMN: should I perform ICA on both groups, select components with highest DMN correlations usting "remove components" feature, and compare both groups using gift output files by SPM 2-nd level analysis?
All the best

There is no need to remove components. You could identify the component and
compare component across groups.

Hi,
I have made a query regarding group analysis in GIFT toolbox. https://sourceforge.net/p/icatb/discussion/309910/thread/374a0b23/#8590
Further to the question, we have identified resting state networks for individual components and have to perform group analysis using two sample t-test in SPM. After group analysis in gift toolbox we got the file named as 'test03.fastica_ica_parameter_info'. We visualised all the components from the mean image. We want to analyse the difference in DMN connectivity between patients and controls. Please tell us which of the input files can be incorporated to create a GLM in the SPM second level analysis.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Shania,
You could import subject component nifti files (subcomp*nii) in SPM or
use mancova or GIFT -> Utils -> SPm stat.
Thanks,
Srinivas
