I have compiled utils under Windows with default configuration (makefile.mak) and it seems that it is communicating thru sockets. I would like to compile it for communicating directly with HW TPM. I have checked READMEs and only usable define I found was TPM_USE_CHARDEV. I have recompiled lib and utils and now e.g. get_capability ends without any output.
Is it correct way how to achieve it?
Finally I was able to do it thru proxy. So now get_capability->tpm_proxy->hw TPM (all on the same machine)
The TPM utilities Windows port supports only the TCP/IP socket interface. As you discovered, use the TPM proxy to connect to a hardware TPM.
