#10 ibapplet not working

working on ubuntu
using 2.6.22-14
non of the provided iburst applet is showing the correct percentage.
/proc/net/wireless looks like:
Inter-| sta-| Quality | Discarded packets | Missed | WE
face | tus | link level noise | nwid crypt frag retry misc | beacon | 22
ib0: 0000 100 100 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
and sometimes
Inter-| sta-| Quality | Discarded packets | Missed | WE
face | tus | link level noise | nwid crypt frag retry misc | beacon | 22
ib0: 0000 100. 100. 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

Note the "." at the end of the percentage.

replaced script with

curr=`cat /proc/net/wireless | grep ib0`
level=`echo $curr | awk 'BEGIN {FS=" "}; {print $3}'`
level=$(echo ${level%\.})
