    Aksels - 2013-04-16

    Hi.

    I had a working hylafax/iaxmodem/asterisk installation. It worked for
    years. Then I decided to upgrade.
    I use debian wheezy amd64.
    Asterisk 1.8.13.1
    IAXModem 1.2.0
    Hylafax 6.0.6-5

    Now I get this Error (tried with different numbers I know different
    hardware is behind):

    Your job to 073xxxxxxx failed because:

    DIS/DTC received 3 times; DCS not recognized; Giving up after 3 attempts to send same page

    I played with jitterbuffer, alaw ulaw slinear codecs and much more, but I do not get one silly fax out.

    Could anybody please help me?

    /etc/iaxmodem/ttyIAX0
    device /dev/ttyIAX0
    owner uucp:uucp
    mode 660
    port 4570
    refresh 300
    server 127.0.0.1
    peername iaxmodem
    secret password
    codec slinear
    ;codec ulaw
    nojitterbuffer

    /etc/hylafax/config.ttyIAX0
    Just plain standard from examples with Phonnumbers edited.

    /etc/asterisk/iax.conf

    [general]
    bind = 127.0.0.1

    [iaxmodem]
    type = friend
    secret = password
    port = 4570
    host = dynamic
    context = fax-out
    disallow = all
    allow = slinear
    allow = alaw
    allow = ulaw

      Hi.

      I had a working hylafax/iaxmodem/asterisk installation. It worked for
      years. Then I decided to upgrade.
      I use debian wheezy amd64.
      Asterisk 1.8.13.1
      IAXModem 1.2.0
      Hylafax 6.0.6-5

      What were these before the upgrade? What else changed? Hardware?
      Network? What DAHDI interface are you using to the PSTN?

      Thanks,

      Lee.

      Hi Lee,

      I had to revert to 0.1.16 as described in another post.
      But i still have 1.2.0 installed as iaxmodem, 0.1.16 as iaxmodemold
      executable.
      So one can quickly switch.
      Are you interested in getting acces over ssh?

        I have an interest in knowing what is wrong and seeing that the problem
        be resolved. However, I don't have the time to determine the problem,
        myself, and my gut feeling is that you're dealing with a problem that is
        specific to your system or your environment, and in that case if you've
        found a solution for yourself then I think you should stick with it.
