Has anyone had any luck running iaxmodem and hylafax on Solaris?
I had to write my own timeradd library as that didn't exist in any Solaris package and I had to a whole load of libraries manually to the Makefile to make it compile
LDFLAGS+= -lm -ltiff -lsocket -lnsl -lresolv -lprint -ltimercalls
It says its registered ok with my Asterisk server, and I can confirm that from my Asterisk debug too.
However, when I run faxsetup, it says it can't detect the modem speed. I tried to connect to it with tip (minicom for Solaris) but it says port busy.
Is iaxmodem supposed to work with tip/minicom and if so, what baud rate should I put in the config file?
Thx

Historically there have been a few iaxmodem users on Solaris. Your best bet on reaching them would be to try the mailing-list or to dig through the mailing list archives. Yes, I use minicom on iaxmodems all of the time with Linux.
