Hi.

I was using IAXmodem 1.1.1, but because of crash issues I upgraded to 1.2.0. But since then, I have several machines reporting a lot of missing faxs with the message "COMREC received DCN (sender abort)" or "COMREC invalid response received". FYI, all of this machines have BRI cards.

Downgrading to 1.1.1 solved this, but the crashes occur.
Can anyone help? I can send the faxs logs or any other information relevant to help diagnose this.

    There have been some reports by some mISDN users that 1.1.1 works better for them than 1.2.0. Are you using mISDN? For that to be resolved it will necessarily require some fixes to spandsp, and given that spandsp has undergone a lot of development since iaxmodem 1.2.0 was released it also minimally means a spandsp update. As for the crashes with 1.1.1... I'm not sure how to resolve other than going to 1.2.0. So I understand that you're between two hard places.

    Yes, I'm using mISDN v1.1.9.2. I tried with the mISDN provided by the kernel, but it was more unstable (at least to me).
    Do you think using DAHDI for all cards, it will help with this issue?

    If you can use DAHDI I certainly would try it instead of mISDN.
