Iax port is 4569 (at least on my system). I don't see 5036 anywhere. What happen if stop your local asterisk and try iaxcomm directly to outside service? -----Original Message----- From: iax...@li... Subject: [Iaxclient-devel] iaxcomm and sokcs I am running into some problems going to a public Internet Asterisk server (i.e. fixed IP address). For some reason nothing is getting across. turned on "iax debug" and "iax2 debug". My iaxcomm is running behind my router with a dynamic IP address. I suspect the problem is that I am using port 5036 for IAXCOMM and my Asterisk on my local is receiving all the return traffic for 5036 (I have xDSL so the router forward the calls to my Asterisk on my local LAN). So I tried to do port forwarding with PuTTY on my IAXCOMM machine (don't believe that IAXCOMM supports SOCKS). any suggestion? ------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
