Firstly, if you're trying to build wx, you'll probably like iaxComm a lot better; it was based on "wx", but has many enhancements that Michael Van Donselaar added. If you do compile "wx", you'll probably need to just remove the line where it calls iaxc_set_encode_format(...). That API changed, and the defaults are now good.
