Maybe just a little jig, but lets no go for Swan Lake just yet

The bugs I cleared out a couple of weeks ago and this one are pretty 
huge problems. If the software is in that kind of state, I expect we 
will find numerous slightly less obvious problems before this library 
stabilises.
