It's free.
It's a cross compile of gcc, so its more "posixy", less likely to get a =
headache
with issues like you're seeing when porting gcc code.

I'd see the same kind of problems when compiling vc code under linux or =
mingw.
Steve developed the library under linux with gcc.

Do install/compile on win32 with mingw, checkout the =
simpleclient/wx/README in
your iaxclient directory.
