I have not looked at jiaxclient, so I do not know how it affects the audio pipeline. Hopefully it doesn't affect the audio pipeline at all. What version of iaxclient are you using? There are some changes in the latest trunk that may help, but it's going to be a while before I have enough personal bandwidth to put together another iaxclient release with a new pre-built binary.
