It's probably better to = be verbose than concise when describing a problem. I'm getting that you tested tkphone both on linux and on Win2k WS. = tkphone on win2k gives a 1 sec audio delay; tkphone on linux gives 6 sec audio = delay. After stopping tkphone on one of the platforms (which one?), you = immediately run some version of iaxComm (which one?). iaxComm then gives you the usual = problem when you call (is this the segfault, or ugly audio?). Then you restart = tkphone and get the same result (I assume 1-6 second audio delay). While the problem really may be with the iaxComm code, I don't agree that= you've isolated it. I know that DIAX and IAXPhone are not using CVS code. IAXPhone is using iaxclient code from before any other codecs were added.= You mention version 0.97a and 0.98c of DIAX, but don't show a successful run.= Even a 1 second audio delay for tkphone sounds unsuccessful to me. What results do you get on Win2k when running http://iaxclient.sourceforge.net/iaxcomm/iaxcomm-win-20040228.zip ? |

Can someone point to current library source code that I can compile in VC++ 6.0 on win32. The code I got from from cvs doesnt compile properly... I'm using the code that comes in the iaxclient module. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Check out the new Yahoo! Front Page. www.yahoo.com |

Hi, having still my problem with iaxcomm under linux, self compiled version or last binaries from sf, I decide to test under w2k WS. I had Diax097a, iaxcomm CVS Februar 04 and Iaxphone 0.1.0. This machine is connected to the same asterisk server that my notebook is using: everything is fine, all calls are clear both sides. Now I decide to install latest version of this software, taken from sf.net Diax098c, iaxcomm CVS October 04 and Iaxphone 0.2.0 build 116 Launching: diax098c: class not registered - MSSTDMFT.DLL has to be installed on your machine iaxcomm: I can call asterisk demo on my server, no problem. I try to call echo test from FWD, segfault. In w2k event logs I see " ... exception was c0000005 at address 0041CDD5 9<no symbols>) FWD is using only ULAW, so I guess problem come from here. iaxphone: start with errors initializing the DirectSound drivers Error numbers=0 Error description = and a Note about ound card not installed or in use. Clicking OK appears same error, clicking OK a window telling me that it was an error with DirectX and DirectMusic modules. I pass clicking OK I call again FWD echo test and it's ok. Now I compile tkphone and test it: I get my audio but with a delay of more then 6s (under w2k if there was delay, maxi 1s) I immediately stop the call, launch iasxcomm: as usually. I restart tkphone, same result as the first time. So definitely problem is with iaxcomm. -- Daniel |

Hi All, Recently I have started developing an application using IAXClient library. I am using iaxc_register() to register my application with asterisk server. Could anyone tell me, what is the procedure for unregistering my client app ? Thanks in advance, Sanjeev __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Check out the new Yahoo! Hi Steve Kann, Here other end is iaxclient and on my end I have a cell phone. After updating those recent changes now iaxclient is sending voice with very low `recording` volume, i tried to put mic volume more higher which is also not helphing that much. I tried to enable the mic boost but it just crashed the client :(. Other then that it is working very nicely. with the new Analog AGC. --- Steve Kann <st...@st...> wrote: > Babar Shafiq wrote: > > >I updated from latest CVS i think it is fixed that problem a bit, > > > >But now the voice of other end become very low, It is new silence filter ? or I have to enable > mic > >boost for this ? > > > >When tried from speaker phone i got some wierd noise but its not echo, its like in half duplex > >speaker which needs to be muted when speaking with mic. > > > > > > You need to explain to me more clearly what's going on. I updated from latest CVS i think it is fixed that problem a bit, But now the voice of other end become very low, It is new silence filter ? or I have to enable mic boost for this ? When tried from speaker phone i got some wierd noise but its not echo, its like in half duplex speaker which needs to be muted when speaking with mic. Hi everybody, my setup: Linux Debian unstable, CVS from 1st november. Asterisk CVS from 1st november (was the same with 09/25/04). Also tried the iaxComm binary from 02/28/04 and the latest from 10/22/04. IAXComm -- Asterisk -- FWD IAX -- Echo test (613) My audio is ugly. It's noisy, incomprehensible. Sometimes (2% maxi) you understand few words with a delay from 3~4 sec. The called party audio (introduction) is perfect! If I call the demo from * on my box, perfect to. I tried with Ulaw, ILBC (from asterisk), GSM, as preferred codec, frames from 160 to 480. No Changes. On my laptop I have X-lite running under wine as well as GnomeMeeting: both are working perfectly. If someone have an idea on what could be wrong, welcome. -- Daniel |

My question to everyone is: Should iLBC replace speex as the default = preferred codec when available, or leave speex the default preferred codec, and = just add iLBC to the allowed list? |

I got a bug report over the weekend that a user was unable to negotiate an ilbc connection using the iaxcomm binary posted on SF.net. I know that I was at one point able to connect using iLBC, back when I had an explicit setting of the codec to ilbc. Since then I have had ilbc and speex allowed on my asterisk server. Sure enough, when I test with the binary on sf.net, iaxcomm is advertising capability of 0x200/0x206 and astertisk is allowing only 0x400. I recompiled to make sure that I had the makefile define for ilbc turned on, and same results with my asterisk server. adding a line: iaxc_set_formats(IAXC_FORMAT_ILBC, IAXC_FORMAT_ILBC); right after iaxc_sart_processing_thread(); allows the connection. Am I misunderstanding this, or ought ilbc not be allowed implicitly? --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). OK, I just applied a fix from Bill Doll. Those of you on the -cvs list will see it's pretty obvious, if you know where it is :) (we were dereferencing a pointer, then assigning it to a pointer. That never works). Steve Uhler: I guess you haven't used transfer, but can you take a look at the assignment of the possibly unaligned pointer to the apparent_addr ie? -SteveK On Oct 26, 2004, at 11:51 AM, Richard Pettitt wrote: > Yes, I rolled back to version an earlier version (15 October 04) and > the > crash bug went away... > > -----Original Message----- > From: Steven Sokol [mailto:ss...@so...] > Sent: 26 October 2004 16:49 > To: ric...@co...; Iaxclient-Devel > Subject: Re: [Iaxclient-devel] Strange fatal issue with attempted > native > transfer behind same NAT... > > No patch yet.
