#332 alarm activated for unknown reason

Once I arm the alarm, it is automatically activated after 10 seconds, sometimes 20 second, sometimes 2 seconds, randomly. I tested so many times, but still cannot find any reason. In "Alarm Status" it shows "Type: System Key". But I don't know what system key is.

I use mac os Lion.

I love this software so much! It's really helpful to me. So I wish our dear engineers can solve this problem so that I can use it properly.

Thank you very much!

    Hi there,

thanks for the report. There have been a couple of people reporting this sort of thing. I'm not yet sure if this is a Lion issue or not. I'm not in a position to upgrade to Lion at this time, so I can't test it.

Was it working OK before you upgraded to Lion?

"System key" is a funny thing. It's been there since before I took on this project, and seems to be a system event that is "unknown". The mac going to sleep can cause it (though I think I've already dealt with that).

Do you have a screensaver configured? Does your screen automatically change brightness or anything like that? I'm thinking there's a system event of some sort that is triggering the alarm.

Could you try the device state collection mechanism (on the advanced tab) to see if it finds anything?

    Dear ezsource,

Thank you for your swift reply. I'd really appreciated.

Actually, I found this software after I had upgraded to Lion, so I'm not sure whether it happens on snow leopard.

I also believe that "system key" refers to an unknown system event. It's a good idea to use "collect potential trigger device". I tried several times but found nothing.

I will keep testing. If I found the reasons, I will post it.

    Thank you!
