I have a problem with MacBook Pro HD FaceTime with iAlertU 0.73b.
It simple doesn't detect my camera...
Macbook Pro 15" (2011) with Snow Leopard 10.6.8
I don't have a solution for you at this point. I don't even _have_ facetime to test with. As I understand it, facetime is basically Apple's skype. How is it not working with iAlertU? Is this a problem with iAlertU you're reporting or with facetime?
thanks for the replay.
I have a Macbook Pro 15" (2011) with Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and problem is that the WebCam of this module is called "FaceTime HD camera"...
Is there any difference between this version of "WebCam" and the older version "iSight camera"?!
I also tested on a Mac Mini (2010) with a Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 and the iAlertU simple don't detect the camera...
It's detect perfectly on iChat, Skype, FaceTime (app for Mac), Google Chat but, iAlertU... nothing
OK, I see now. We've never tried to get it to work on external webcams given the design is to work with macbooks, but if it's not working with the latest macbooks because Apple have changed the device name, then I'll have to look at it. Given I don't have such a device it's going to be tricky to test.
If you're willing, can you email me from an address to which I can send you a test version when I get around to this ticket?
Please note that I'm about a week away from being able to work on this.
oh ... thanks ...
do not need much speed in solving the problem I have ...
if you can find a way to work, okay ... =)
