Installation

Run the installation package you downloaded from this site.

Once installed, start the service on your platform. For Windows this will be in the Services control panel, for Linux the following command may work.

service hypersocket start

Running on non-standard ports

Hypersocket will attempt to listen on port 80/443 on first startup. This can be changed during installation using one of the GUI installers, from the administrative user interface or from the hypersocket.properties file in the conf folder. To edit the hypersocket.properties file you should find the http.port and https.port entries update the numbers to the ports you wish to use. You will now need to specify the ports being used whenever you are attempting to access the Hypersocket web UI.

Example of new entries:

http.port=8080
https.port=8443

Accessing the UI

Once installed you can access the UI using https://HOST/hypersocket/ui
