It would be nice if, while in text edit mode for (e.g.) a work, an argument, a position, etc. I could search within the text, see highlighted instances of my search term and how many times it occurs, jump from one instance to another, etc. (Lots of applications have this feature but if you need examples let me know and I can give a few.) This would be nice for finding stuff in longer entries. I would also use it a lot for fixing typos, since when I am reading a work entry and I find a typo I find it to be a pain in the butt to scroll down to the typo once I enter into text edit mode (because it loses my place and jumps to the start) so I could just zoom to the typo by typing it into a search field if I had one of those.
This is not a particularly pressing need so no worries if it's a pain to implement and easier to leave out.
The second issue is a big thing for me since I tend to have pretty long work entry description records. The first would be useful too.
Development for this feature is complete, and testing is mostly complete. It will be included in the upcoming 1.25 release. You will be able to hit ctrl-shift-F in Windows to search the current record description, whether you are editing or not, and you will be able to jump between matches. It will stay in edit mode while you are jumping between matches.
