What file are you talking about ?,  I have created a file server file alert which watches the 
/var/adm/messages file for file system full messages,and sends me email via the alert when 
HYperic sees the message in the log file ..

UNDER  FILE SERVER FILE tab I seee the alert definition . In this window I see the CONTROL tab. If a click on it I can SELECT the RUN control option . What is it trying to run??
I see in the error box /var/adm/messages: cannot execute . Can you explain the function of CONTROL in this case of monitoring a log file ?????
