Can anyone tell me how to re-add a platform with autodiscovery?

I removed a platfrom from HQ, stopped the agent service, and uninstalled the service with the -u command.  After that I deleted the agent directory from the platform and considered it "clean".

I copied the agent folder back to the platform in question and ran hq-agent.exe in a CMD window but this time I didn't get any token negotiation or anything, it just said that the agent was running..  I'm guessing it still had the platforms information.  

How do I take a platform that was previously monitored by HQ and have it auto discover everything on that server and start monitoring it again?

Hi Josh,

Does the old agent you copied to the platform still have a data directory?  If, so it won't ask for any connection parameters.

I deleted the data directory and tried again and it worked but I am not sure if it was because of that or because of my previous impatience.

Previously I would launch the client manually and it would come up and say "agent thread running" or whatever and I was under the impression that was the final output (that it meant the agent was up and running and nothing else was going to happen) so I killed it and tried to reinstall.  I think if I had waited longer I would have gotten the "Agent successfully started" followed by any needed questions.
