That's the output of the script i run:

right before loop!
sucess=1
time=1
right after loop!
and that's output of hq when invoking the plugin calling the script:

[ http://jira.hyperic.com/browse/HHQ-669?page=all ] Noah Salzman closed HHQ-669: ---------------------------- Verified fixed in 3.0.2 EE build 331. The CSV export now contains all the resources in the group. N.B.: if you re-chart the graph with a sub-set of the resources it still exports all the resources in the CSV. Not a huge deal... maybe something to revisit later. > Export to CSV for multiple resource chart only exports one resource > ------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: HHQ-669 > URL: http://jira.hyperic.com/browse/HHQ-669 > Project: Hyperic HQ > Type: Developer > Versions: 3.0.0 > Environment: 3.0.0-296 > Reporter: John Sachs > Assignee: Ryan Morgan > Fix For: 3.0.2 > > > If you are viewing a metric for a compatible group where multiple resources are being charted, and you export CSV, only one resource appears to be exported. There is only one row of numbers anyway. Further, there is no indication as to which resource is exported. Should export all resources. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.hyperic.com/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira |

Documentation on how to set up a network device for monitoring via SNMP is here: http://support.hyperic.com/confluence/display/DOCSHQ30/Network+Device Have you tried this? If so, what exact errors are stopping you? What device(s) are you trying? As for your syslog question, if you are wanting to aggregate ALL your logs on HQ, that's probably not something you should do. What HQ is designed to do is to watch your logs for problems and alert you to those log messages. If you can clarify what exactly you want to do here, I can probably help you get it set up. |

We are building a self-service portal for our customers to allow them to do simple management of their hosted environment. For instance they want to be able to restart a WebLogic managed server. However when they do this it will cause Hyperic to raise an alert as the server will become unavailable. Is there some way that my restart routine can disable the Hyperic alerts for this managed server while the restart takes place? I don't see an API for this but I assume we could modify the database to set the alerts to disabled and then back to enabled. Thanks . . . Murray |

Hi Tom, 3.0 includes the changes we had provided in the patch, so no need to =20 update the plugin. Are there any errors or warnings in log/=20 agent.log? If not, you could try enabling debug logging: http://support.hyperic.com/confluence/display/DOCSHQ30/HQ+Agent=20 +Configuration#HQAgentConfiguration-agentdebuglog Here's how the plugin finds the admin server on Windows: - Look through the list of services using the service control =20 manager, looking for binary path ending with beasvc.exe - If found, use the service name (e.g. "beasvc qa92_AdminServer") to =20 get the service parameters in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\beasvc =20 qa92_AdminServer\Parameters - Check that the value of the CmdLine key does not contain "-=20 Dweblogic.management.server", if it does then this entry is a managed =20= node which will be discovered later. Also check that CmdLine endsWith "weblogic.Server", otherwise it =20 is likely the NodeManager - If we get through those filters, this is an Admin server. Next the =20= value of ExecDir is searched for the domain config.xml where we get =20 the version, domain, t3 url, etc. Any details you could provide about your install/layout would be =20 helpful. [ http://jira.hyperic.com/browse/HHQ-640?page=all ] Nipuna Bhayani closed HHQ-640: ------------------------------ Works fine in Release 3.0.2 build # 331 > Last wait time in escalation ignored > ------------------------------------ > > Key: HHQ-640 > URL: http://jira.hyperic.com/browse/HHQ-640 > Project: Hyperic HQ > Type: Developer > Components: Alerts > Versions: 3.0.0 > Reporter: Charles Lee > Assignee: Jon Travis > Priority: Critical > Fix For: 3.0.0 > > > The escalation does not appear to pay attention to the wait time of the last action. I set one up with the last action waiting for 60 minutes, however, it appears that new escalation gets started right after the last action is performed. This would render the concept of "Suppress Alerts" ineffective. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.hyperic.com/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira |
