#4356 [HHQ-4243] Samba Server 3.x not Auto-Discovered

Samba Server 3.x not Auto-Discovered.

After installing a new hq-agent, the running instance of Samba is not auto-discovered. The samba server cannot also be auto-discovered using:


 - New Auto-Discovery (via Tools Menus on platform)


 - Command line

Running command line auto-discover 'java -jar hq-pdk-shared-4.5.0.BUILD-SNAPSHOT.jar -Dplugins.include=samba -m discover -Dlog=debug' results in 0 servers detected

Expected Result:


Running instance of samba is auto-discovered and can be imported into inventory for monitoring

Actual Result:


Running instance of samba is not auto-discovered and therefore cannot be imported into inventory for monitoring

Steps to Reproduce:


1. Install and start hq-agent on server running samba


2. Log into Hyperic


3. Note the platform is auto-discovered with all servers detected except samba

Work around:


None

Additional Information:


The same reported result occured for Samba 3.0.23 and Samba 3.5.4 on two different servers
