If I create multiple groups, lets say "All Tomcat Servers", "Tomcat Servers A" and "Tomcat Servers B" where the first one contains all the servers that are part of the two others. Then, if I schedule downtime for "Tomcat Servers A" any availability alerts defined on the "All Tomcat Servers" group will fire while the same isn't true for alerts defined on "Tomcat Servers A". This happens as soon as the scheduled downtime starts even if the actual servers that are part of the group are still up and running.
