If you have a Platform resource (Network Device, Cisco IOS, etc), you should be able to easily change the Agent Connection property and have that switch which agent is monitoring the device. However, if you make that change, it does not take effect immediately and the only way to have it take effect is to force the new agent to refresh its metric schedule. Changing the Agent Connection property on a Platform resource should automatically and immediately schedule the metrics for that Platform on the new agent and unschedule those metrics on the old agent.
