Here in the following my comments to the below question points.

1) Ok! I'm looking for.

2.1.1, 2.1.2) I tried to access bleedingedge.jeromedl.org but the =
service is temporarily unavailable. I'm looking for credentials to =
access it.

2.2.1, 2.2.2) I assume that Semantic queries are the main focus of =
JeromeDL: they should be allowed on the whole JeromeDL knowledge base, =
by using metadata from Marcont, FoafRealm and JeromeDL.structure =
ontologies. Templates for more frequent user queries, concerned with =
people and subjects of resources are necessary. It could be useful, =
however to provide an rdf query template enabling more advanced users to =
select metadata from the supported ontologies and give some value =
constraints (the Serql WHERE clause).

2.2.2)=20
* Because of the semantic perspective of resource management, some NLP =
algorithms should be provided: at least in order to manage in the RDF =
queries, the semantic descriptions of domains and keywords available in =
the wordnet and taxonomies repositories. =20
* As to the provision of more advanced NLP algorithms, such as the ones =
concerned with lexical analysis and word disambiguation in a given text =
context, I could talk about with researchers of the local Bari =
University. I will let you know about.

3) I'm looking for.

4) A more refined mapping is necessary to effectively communicate with =
other digital libraries.

4+) I assume the Hypercup web service  could act as the jeromedl gateway =
to communicate both with other digital libraries and with external third =
part services platforms providing add on features (ex. =
multichannel/multi-device resource distribution, resource composition =
and printing on demand, e-commerce transactions, etc.). My colleague =
Luigi Intonti is in charge of investigating hypercup: I add its e.mail =
address in the mailing list in order to make him aware of this =
discussion.

As I have already mentioned in the other email - XSL:FO is the =20
feature delivered by GUT. It was used to hold info from RTF-to-XSL =20
transformation (using RTF2FO service) and used to render HTML, PDF, =20
and RTF versions of a resources.
Since we are short on resources at the moment in DERI, I have already =20
asked GUT if they could update XSL:FO support in recent versions of =20
JeromeDL.

with current stable versions of JeromeDL - you cannot do too much, =20
but upcoming 2.1 version (currently beta stage - see =20
bleedingedge.jeromedl.org) this information can be used in the =20
faceted navigation view - MultiBeeBrowse. We also continue working on =20
JOnto component - to provide more support for Wordnet and taxonomies.

Please consider it a proof of concept. I am very interested in =20
finding any actual use case scenarios for these NLQ component. If you =20
have any questions in mind - let me know - I will try to deliver them.

JeromeDL uses external service called MarcOnt Mediation Services - =20
Maciej is working on this services at the moment.
So the quality of mappings is to improve over the time.
