Hi Carl, Glad to hear things are running smoothly. Our systems group = runs a=20 dedicated file server which we mount to our application servers; we=20 currently have our HyperContent repositories mounted on a number of=20 different machines. I actually recommend this approach - it is fast=20 and stable, and allows you to easily grow your server pool. We're=20 actually not using the local disks on our servers for anything except=20 logs at the moment - the web application, the repositories, and tomcat=20= all live on the network storage device. I believe the file server is=20 from NetApp: http://www.netapp.com/solutions/storage_consolidation.html -Alex On Mar 2, 2005, at 6:16 AM, Carl Barrow wrote: > Hi Alex > > Things going very well here at Hull with HyperContent I have got about=20= > 500 pages live in it at the moment. > > I assume this won=92t be possible but I thought it best to confirm.=20 > Could you have your repository on a different server to that running=20= > HyperContent and uPortal? > > Thanks > > Carl > > --=20 > ************************************ > > Carl Barrow > Web Developer > e-Services > The University of Hull > Cottingham Road > Hull > HU6 7RX > Ext. 6838 > ************************************ > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide > Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real=20 > users. > Discover which products truly live up to the hype.
