I have been struggling to get HyperContent installed into our existing portal which is using 2.3+. I did get it installed but when I look at the sample projects the only file it shows is hypercontent-site.xml. No directories show up and the nav bar across the top has only search browse and admin. What do I do to see the actual content of the site?
I see the exact same behavior using 2.3.5 quickstart - the only 2.3 now available to download.
ANy help much appreciated.

Hi Susan,
You are describing the "HyperContent Project Definitions" project, for which there is no output site - it is used only to hold the project definition files for other projects. If you don't see or can't open the "HyperContent Web Site" in your list of projects (the first screen you see on bringing up the channel), that means there is a problem with the project definition - most likely the filesystem definition needs to be set with an absolute rather than relative path for the repository. The relative path only works with a basic scripted install into a quickstart environment.

Hi Alex. I thought that was the case so I ran the scripted install against the 2.3.5 uPortal quickstart and got the same results. Have you tried that?

Well, I just tried it and it worked fine for me. Do you see "HyperContent Web Site (copy)" in the list of projects? If you can open it, do you see the build and publish links? Perhaps you could describe step by step what you're doing, or if you have a link you could give me to your instance I could poke around.

Sorry I was wrong. It does work in the quickstart. And after modfying the paths in all the places I could find in the project for the hypercontent site it works in my installed portal too now!
I still have a lot of questions but I'll try to educate myself a little before getting back on the forum.
Thanks for your help.
