I was trying to install HypatiaDB just now. I read in the install notes that you need to unpack the files in a directory available to localhost such as /var/www/. As I more or less suspected there is no /var/www/ on my Mandrake Linux 10.0 machine. I thought that such a directory is used by the webserver installed on your machine. Is it correct that you require a webserver in order to be able to install HypatiaDB
