I recently built a fax server with a Mainpine IQ Express 5120, which has been working well. However, recently, the fax modem got "wedged" and it took a complete shutdown to "unwedge" it (a simple reboot didn't do the trick). I've seen references to a side channel utility for Mainpine that can "unwedge" the modem. Where is this available?

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
The sideband utility doesn't work for the RF5120. It only worked for the earlier models, Rockforce QUATRO+ and OCTO+ and IQ Express RF21XX and RF31XX. The later firmware (10.2.0.2) on RF51XX resolved most of the lockups. So, if you're not on firmware 10.2.0.2 you should probably consider updating. The IQ Express RF61XX have an internal reset feature, enabled during initialization, that avoids the problem by resetting internally.

Thanks.
It appears that I am on 10.2.0.2.... hopefully the problem is rare and we can work around it.
