    Hello,
I tried to install the Hylafax- v6 which is packaged in Ubuntu 22.04. However, it hangs up when it set up my Multitech modem which is set up perfectly by Hylafax+ v5.

    So my question is -
    Is their a Hylafax+ v7 package for Ubuntu 22.04?

    Thank you for your attention.

I don't know if anyone has packaged HylaFAX+ v7 in Debian/Ubuntu. I tried for years to get the Debian HylaFAX package maintainer to package HylaFAX+, but that never got anywhere. Every time I install on Debian/Ubuntu I just install from source.

    Ok Howard,
I installed from source successfully under Ubuntu 22.04.

The hylafax instances are running, but the modem ttyUSB0 is not listening. I tested it by calling my fax number and it did not respond.

So where are these commands which worked in my old Oracle Linux? I cannot start them.
    systemctl enable hylafax-faxgetty@ttyUSB0.service
    systemctl start hylafax-faxgetty@ttyUSB0.service

Did you follow the instructions in 2.2.5 here? :

      https://hylafax.sourceforge.io/howto/install.php#ss2.2

    okay!
I created the systemd service for ttyUSB0 and it worked very well. Thanks. ^^

But the systemd status shows this even though the service runs well. What is the problem?

That message is originating from an incorrect grep command that is being run from faxgetty somewhere on your system. I'd guess it's in your /var/spool/hylafax/etc/FaxDispatch script... but I suppose it could be /var/spool/hylafax/etc/FaxAccounting or some jobcontrol, DynamicConfig, or other hooked script that you've got configured.
