Sorry!  This Forum is not for discussion of translation of Hurd documentation.  Instead, we
deal with the concept of file system translators.  In the Hurd, many file system processes
are modelled under the translator abstraction.  This means that you can wrap filesystem-style
semantics around a variety of activities.

For example, it is possible to set up an FTP translator that models the FTP interface as a
filesystem, allowing you to "cd" to the directory you wish, copy files to and from the
FTP site, and other useful tasks.
