Hi!
I just got the newest Hunspell (German) for my OO 2.0.
After a lot of browsing I found out that I need a
reworked dictionary as well. I got it here:
http://j3e.de/hunspell/

Now, how to install the friggin thing? I loaded it with
the package manager, but it cannot be activated. It
doesn't show up in the linguistics-section either. So
Hunspell is pretty much useless to me at this point...
Any suggestions?

cheers,
Tom

    p.s.:
the OOo doesn't work either, the .zip is shunned as "invalid
    language pack".....help!

    cheers,
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

    You need manual installation:

    http://lingucomponent.openoffice.org/manual_instal.html

Fortunatelly, next version of OOo (2.0.2) comes with both of
Hunspell and the German Hunspell dictionary.

    Regards,

    Laci

PS.: You can remove bad packages with the unopkg command
    line utility: OOo/program/unopkg remove bad.zip

    Closing this issue.

There is a new Wiki page for the OpenOffice.org
dictionaries (including new German dictionaries) here:
    http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Dictionaries

    Best regards, Laci
